クレーター斜面の色合い
火星の地表にあるクレーターの急斜面には衝突の衝撃により地下の物質を露出させています。しかし、これらの斜面では岩石や土石流が崩れ落ちることが頻繁にあるので埃を払うことができ、NASAの火星偵察機オービターの観測結果を画像処理することで、様々な種類の岩石を識別することができます。
